This is just a warning to anyone who wants to claims any kind of benefit or help with things, My short story is that I have worked all my life (whats left of it) brought 4 kids into this world and tried to give them all good morals and values!! Well this is how the goverment and council tax benefit people treat people like me. I applied for some benefits as my wages were diminishing thru sickness, I went to the cab for help as working tax credit and child tax credit had mis calculated my income, meanwhile I had sent my pay slip bank statements to my local council (bracknell forest) who gave me deductions for council tax and rent based on my earnings and income from them, only for them to come round today out the blue and say I owe them £9000K for unpaid rent and tax and there has been a mistake in calculations, then I get a call from inland revenue to say that in 1993 and 2003 i underpaid my tax, it was brought to their attention by someone looking into my case for benefit!, they are making me feel like a scrounger!!!!! I was tempted to say put down to expenses like the government and politians are able to do and have been doing for years, I think I owe them £396! Well if any of civil servants or government workers or anyone that works in any kind of benefit system, think about what your doing when calculating with peoples lives.- you can all swivel if it's your mistake! You think that some of these people would have been a little bit sympathetic considering I have a terminal illness, but no they have to put money first!!!!!! Grrrr! it makes me so angry, There is no compassion from any of these people and they are all just jobs worth!!! I think everyone is trying to prove something to their bosses just so they can get to the top by shitting on people and don't care what they do and have no morals, it seems the recession has made people selfish.Thats my rant so sorry if I annoyed anyone but had to have my say! Have a good evening everyone!!

It's not the recession making them greedy bastards, their self serving beaurocrats. If you don't work for them your stuffed, well and truly. Didn't Gordon Brown sometime back made a statement to that effect ie "people who work for government and local authorities are kind and generous people and shall thus be rewarded" - he said nothing about the rest of us! Doesn't that have a ring of deja vu to it? Jillyann I would definitely be telling them to swivel too, fast and hard roflmao. Joking apart I wish you luck in getting those self serving departments off your back.
