I don't like mondays! 'tell me why i don't like mondays!' boomtown rats!

Less than one minute read time.
Hi my fellow peeps Hope your all well, and you all had a good weekend, just going for my chemo, thats why i don't like mondays, coz I know i'm going to be ill over the next few days, get a migrane type headache and sickness. Anyway at least the good side of it is it's shrinking the tumours in my neck!! (Avastin and interferon) anyone got any good tips to stop me thinking 'ill'???

I mean, so that you'll associate chemo with something that is fun for you and think less of the side effects. Also maybe take a pain killer before the migraine begins and it might stop it from happening.

I agree with Liz about positive thinking. I know it's sometimes absolutely impossible to practice positive thinking when you're in pain, but try to think positive thoughts that you are going to feel fine by the end of the chemo, as you're sitting in the hospital attached to the iv.

I hope it'll be easier this time

the thing that helps me is knowing the chemo is doing the job, shrinking the tumours, rolll with it if you feel ill rest, if you feel good get up and do something, the chemo will come to an end, i know everyone is different but i had 1 and a1/2 good weeks out of every 3, which i thought was good, the count down begins good luck. liz x
