I was up every night after my surgery and it didn't get any better whilst I was having chemo. I'd go and make a hot drink and turn on the laptop until I felt sleept again. Thankfully now chemo has finished and I'm 8 months post surgery, I can finally say I have a good nights sleep. . I hope you don't have to wait 8 months for a good nights sleep lol.

From one insomniac to another - I'm sure it'll pass.

When things are still fresh in your mind (like surgery!) it's difficult to stop thinking or reliving it over in your mind.

I go through phases of good/bad sleeping, constantly.

But as George Harrison wrote 'All things must pass'.

Good luck, and remember next time you're pacing about in the early hours - I probably am too !
