Jayne's amazing life and journey's end

1 minute read time.

Our Journey as Cancer takes over Jaynes future.

I met Jayne in 1984, when I was in the RAF and asked to support and help a local Charity. I helped Banbury Animal rescue and found my soul mate. We got married in 1986 and moved to Gibraltar was a 2-year honeymoon, we travelled all over Spain. We returned home and started our family – We have 2 beautiful children – Victoria and Thomas.

We have been in Bletchley for the last 27 years and married for 37 years now. We have enjoyed the time we have had together and travelled the world. But due to being diagnosed with Breast cancer in 2021, We will not see retirement together and losing my best friend, wife and lover to this horrible disease. We have been fighting for 2 years to stop it, but our battle is coming to an end as they cannot stop the progression.

Jayne is full of live and energy and loved her job doing 1:1’s with children with learning difficulties. She loved to see how they progressed.

Jayne loved travelling overseas and Maui was her favourite place, we planned to go back once we retired, but this will not happen now.

She loved horses and when she was her teens, she was a very good show jumper but had an accident when a dog ran onto the course. But she always loved horses and rode for other people over the years.

Jayne was full of life, never had a day off sick and then hit with this and saddens me to see her losing the battle and the life being sucked out of her.

Jayne’s battle is lost, but we can save others from this.

  • It is an awful, indiscriminate illness. Your love for Jayne and for the life you have shared shines through. I hope this last period is as comfortable as it can be for Jayne and that your memories and family help you through the difficult times ahead.
