my dad had a bad chest infection last march. X Rays showed a "lesion" .He had a PET Scan was told its "Inconclusive" Then had a Bronchoscopy and washings .We Were told he was clear of any cancer .What a relief!!!. We have now been told that the PET Scan shows that the lesion is cancer. I am totally gutted and so so angry that after been told he is clear he isnt. I cant believe this has happened we see the specialist on thurs i so hope the anger i feel now has settled down by then. My Mum died from lung cancer 11 yrs ago.Its so unfair .Sorry to go on . We dont even know what type of cancer it is yet.

WELL, HERE WE ARE MONDAY MORNING & MY PARTNER HAS JUST RUNG THE HOSPITAL & ALTHOUGH HE DID NOT SLEEP THAT WELL (THEY SAID HE WAS UP TILL 5:00am) HE WAS LIVING & BEATING THIS "THING" MY MUM IS STAYING IN THE HOSPITAL APARTMENTS & SHE IS GETTING SOME SLLEP AT LAST, SHE IS SPENING MOST OFF THE TIME WITH MY DAD & HE WONT LET HER GO. SHE HAD TO GET ANGRY WITH HIM LAST NIGHT BECAUSE HE WONT EAT WHAT THE HOSPITAL GIVES HIM ( & I DONT BLAME HIM ) BUT IF HE WONT EAT THEN HE WONT GET BETTER, SIMPLE AS THAT. PAUL & ME ARE GOING DOWN TONIGHT SO I SHALL HAVE A LITTLE NAG, AFTER ALL, ITS WHAT US WOMEN DO BEST. MUM IS TAKING IN SOME SOUP & FRESH SANDWICHES EVEY DAY SO HE IS HAVING A SMALL AMMOUNT OF FOOD & WITH ALL THE DRUGS HE IS ON IM SURE HE WILL GET THERE. IM MENT TO BE DOING THE HOUSEWORK RIGHT NOW BUT MY MIND GOES FROM "WASHING UP" TO "HOWS MY DAD" OR "ILL VAC THE LIVING ROOM" TO "IS MY DAD DOING THE EXERCICES THAT HE HAS TO DO" SO PAUL WILL HAVE TO DO WITH A SEMI-CLEAN HOUSE FOR A FEW WEEKS JUST TILL MY DAD IS OK.
ONCE MORE IM REALLY SORRY ABOUT YOUR MUM, I CANT IMAGNE WHAT IT MUST BE LIKE TO LOOSE A PARENT & NOW YOUR DAD HAS GOT "THIS THING" TO DEAL WITH BUT IM SURE HE CAN WIN, IF MY DAD CAN COME THIS FAR THEN ANYONE CAN.
so so sorry not replied before now to your lovely message i have not had much time to look at this part of the site sorry again !!. My husbands dad has been ill with pneumonia he lives opposite us he is 79 bless him ,so i have been caring for him, seeing to my dads, doing two night dutys at hospital and sorting my disabled husband out too !!!.So not a lot really , my dad is ok he has decided on no treatment another scan for end of month to see if it has grown any if it has dad will consider R/T. Anyway love how is your dad ?? hope all ok with you and yours feel awful not replying sooner love and big hugs jan xxxxx
