these tough times

Less than one minute read time.
Tis the season for giving, especially to those less fortunate than us, but it seems nobody is immune to the credit crunch, charity shops would seem unlikely to be affected by the credit crunch because people always have stuff they no longer need, right? well, that seems no longer the case, an article on the Daily Mail details the effect the credit crunch has had on Oxfarm shops: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1101055/Now-Oxfam-charity-shops-struggling-hard-consumers-hang-unwanted-clothes.html it seems people are hanging onto their old clothes, it is understandable however because normally in tough times people would rely on credit if they don't have the money to facilitate new purchases, but the credit crunch has made loans or even credit cards hard to come by. which makes me wonder, what will happen to those who depend on charitable organisations if donations continue to dry up? will the government have to bail out charities too?
