    Hi Jac,

I think Nic has answered your question it just seems like it, because we are more open and willing to talk about it.

You look after your friend. She will need your support in the future.

Take care and be safe Big Hugs Love Sarsfield.xx

    Hi Jac,

People live longer these days and new technologies have made it possible to diagnose cancers at an earlier stage in its development.  There is also more enviromental and industrial exposure.  Some tumours take many years to develop.  The fact is statistically, cancers are on the increase, compared to figures 30 years ago.

Also, when people contract cancer themselves they meet and hear about other peoples experiences.  As Sarsfield points out, people are also more open to discuss it these days, which is healthy.

    Best wishes Pete
