Peter's iron stores were 16 and his hb is dropping again fortunately his team have secured funding for IV Iron, he had the first infusion of monofer on Tuesday. it only took half an hour. He is having another 2 units of blood next week. and will continue to have iv iron until his stores are o.k
Hes been quite poorly since the infusion vomiting and extremely tired, I think his body is getting used to the chemical change. However today he has been a bit brighter A visit from our youngest daughter has been a tonic , she accompanied him to fatigue group.at the hospice.
As a child she had a rabbit and wanted a hamster I said only one pet at a time, either wait until the rabbit dies or give it away.
I came home from work a few days later and found a hamster running round in a wheel in a cage on the dining table........Before you start, she said I have given away my rabbit, ..........I have given it to Dad....
Peter had taken her to a pet shop and bought her a fully loaded hamster. ...
We had a laugh down memory lane as she arrived this morning with her two goldfish which apparently are ours now... she wants a hamster and her partner has said if you get rid of the fish you can have a hamster.....
Deja Vu..........
Our new pets Flip & Flop have settled in but I have told Peter he has to man up as we not having a hamster in a few weeks time.
