Misfit

Less than one minute read time.

In April I was given a second lung cancer diagnosis - so for some in the on-line community my situation is not helping their first diagnosis.

I cannot post in the after treatment community as the 13 years in remission is rather seen as a boast.

There is no where to post Ist lung cancer diagnosis used by my ex husband to end our marriage.

No-one appears to have had stereotactic radiotherapy to their lung

I have been living with lung cancer since I was 37 and am now 62 - I have the slow growing type of tumour that was tracked back the first time on missed xrays.  I have other growths  that are being monitored as stereotactic radiotherapy just targeted the largest one so likely to be in same situation for a 3rd time and it would just be nice to know I am not alone and there is someone else going through what I am and understands how I am feeling and would like to chat.

Thanks for reading

    Hi M-J,

I'm sorry that you feel you don't fit in anywhere on this site and that no one is having the same treatment as you. You are very welcome to continue posting in the lung cancer group if you feel it would help you.

I'm so sorry to hear that your ex-husband ended your marriage at your first diagnosis - that's an awful thing to happen.

Perhaps it might help to also join and post in our emotional issues group, which is a good place to get support from people affected by all different cancer types.

If you need to talk, you can also call our team on the free Macmillan Support Line (0808 808 0000, Mon-Fri, 9am-8pm) - either to get your questions answered, or just for a chat and some support.
