The past few days have been really good. Finally, I seemed to get over the side effects of the Oxaliplatin (apart from a teensy bit of sensitivity in one arm), and the nausea from Capecitibine has also gone. I'm not even having to take the anti-sickness medication at the moment.
I had been beginning to feel as though I'd only have a few 'normal' days in each three week cycle but since Friday I've been pretty much my usual self and the week off medication doesn't actually start until tomorrow. It is such a relief to feel better again.
So, making the most of being OK I took S to play gym on Friday, we had a family trip to Woburn Safari Park on Sat (my first time there and I was very impressed that we saw so many animals at close quarters), and I went back into work today. Should manage a full week of work this week (for me a full week is 21 hours just in case anyone is imagining full-time heroics), and will hopefully get to ballet on Wednesday.
The giraffes were our favourite.
