From treatment to fund-raising

1 minute read time.

Seems like AGES since I wrote a blog post. And it seems like ages since I finished treatment in the middle of last month.

I've been fit and well and enjoying the summer. We started the school hols with a week's camping in Norfolk. It was rather chilly most of the time, but we had one glorious day on Hunstanton beach and swimming in the sea was a particular highlight. I couldn't persuade anyone else in the family to join me in the water for some reason - but they enjoyed sand castles, kite flying and icecream so a good time was had by all!

From there we joined in 40th birthday celebrations in Kent. Loved it all. Friends, music, dancing, sunshine.

After a week of work we (well, the girls and me, not B this time) had our next week away: an exhausting but fabulous time at Holiday School. Missed last year's because of treatment so I was over the moon to be back experiencing that HS magic.

As the summer rattles by, I'm now getting ready for a bit of a project/challenge I've set myself. I've decided to do a year of events and activities to fund-raise for Macmillan. I'm going to start with this year's coffee morning and finish with next year's. I'll do at least one sponsored fitness event - walk or cycle.

Luckily I have some great neighbours who are going to help with the coffee morning this year and we have booked a local church hall. More publicity to follow...
