The last time I blogged was early in my second cycle of chemo and I was struggling with the sickness. The sickness and nausea have continued to be a problem and over all this time round has been worse than the first. I have missed some doses of the oral capecitibine through being unsure whether I can keep my dinner down. Also, I've needed more rest.
I suppose it has not helped that everyone around me seems to have a cough or a cold and I have been coughing a bit myself. Fortunately no temperature as I really didn't want a trip over to Northampton to wait around for blood test results and then to end up with even more medication than before and disruption to the chemo schedule.
But, I think I have turned the corner at long last. Still taking the capecitibine until Tuesday morning, but feeling quite a bit better and looking forward to a good week. I intend to get back into work tomorrow (well working from home tomorrow and then actually in for meetings etc on Tuesday and Wednesday). With a bit of luck I'll have enough energy for ballet mid-week too.
With these ambitions, I'd better call it a day for this blog post and get myself off to bed pronto for a good night's sleep! Night night all. xxx
