After chemo pains

1 minute read time.

Had chemo this week, was in monday til friday getting radio aswell. Chemo wasn't too bad, Ifosimide made be a bit sick on the first night, but nothing major.  Then, after my chemo had finished on the wednesday, I got all dizzy and weird headed. Turned out my potassium was low, so needed a drip of that and it orally (totally rotten). Hate being hooked up all the time, so annoying when your dying for a wee and have to unplug everything and then pull along a drip to the loo.

I now feel like crap. My whole body is getting wee stabbing pains all over and my head feels like its being squeeezed. I'm also exhausted but can't sleep really. I feel so restless, I want to be out in the lovely spring sunshine, walking my dog, but instead i have to lie about with aches and pains. I'm hopeless at being sick. I also feel like bursting into tears every now and then, but for no reason really.

Also, my oncol said he's going to three sessions of brachytherapy(spelling?) to give a more localised dose to the actual area. This more often done for cervical cancer patients, which isn't his speciality, so he couldn't tell me much about it, so any advice would be lovely. Please tell me i'm alsleep for it. I know after everything I shouldn't be embarrassed, but I still think I would be a bit. Bit scared about it to be honest.

On a happier note, really learning to appreciate getting out of the house for the smallest thing. I get excited about EVERYTHING. Like the cinema, looking forward to going and seeing Clash of the Titans. Also, only 4 more chemo sessions to go! Come on June.
