Today is Wednesday, it's been 2 years tomorrow since I had surgery.
I feel fine, today I had a CT scan. Feels a while ago since I last had one, but as time passes, I'll be having fewer CT scans. I drove myself to the Hospital in Derby. On the appointment letter it states that you must drink plenty of clear liquid in the 24 hours before my appointment, it also says you must drink 500mls (1 pint) of water half an hour before my appointment time. This is to ensure that they obtain high quality scans of my stomach and bowel. But this time I noticed it says drink water (or squash). Great, I can drink squash, squash is so much nicer than water, so I had plenty of squash.
The scan went fine, although I've not been given any results or indications. I assume I'll receive a phone call soon from the hospital.
I wasn't worried about the scan, but I must admit, it's a reminder of how vulnerable I am.
I still have my positive attitude, 2 years down, only 3 more to go, till I get the all clear. So far so good, I'm sure I'm going to get the all clear after completing 5 years.
