My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and she had the operation for a lumpectomy on the 27th of June. She was discharged from the hospital on Saturday 29th June and since Monday 30th June she has had severe pain in her right leg by her thigh. So painful she screams out with it at night.
The first doctor who came to the house gave her Co-Codamol tablets these made her constipated and did not get rid of the pain. The second Doctor came to the house a few days later and prescribed Tramadol and a laxative . The Tramadol made her dizzy and sick. Today I had to phone for a doctor to see her again as she was in severe pain and he prescribed Dihydrocodeine and Paracetamol and told me that she may have to have a bone scan to see that the cancer has not spread.
Seems strange that before the operation she was fine and was walking normal with a stick and having had the operation is not mobile at all except when she goes to the toilet. She spends most of the day in bed and might hot in this weather . She has not lost any weight . Drinks plenty of water and eats small meals.
She was suppose to attend breast clinic last week and has a appointment this forthcoming Tuesday if she is well enough to attend.
