Hubby went into our local hospice last week, for symptom control and respite. I was keen for him to be seen in the hope that he would get a more holistic approach to his care. However, I am now torn between spending time with him in there and trying to take advantage of the fact I can now leave the house.
Things seem to have taken a sharp turn for the worst over the last 3 weeks and each day brings its own new challenges. He started taking oxygen today and was also given some antibiotics to tackle a potential chest infection. By this evening he seemed much brighter.
My rather too blunt GP said some very distubing things last week, suggesting that the end is rather closer than I had dared to contemplate. Things are getting very tough.
