Hello everyone

Less than one minute read time.

Hi everyone

lovely to meet you all I've just been diagnosed with bone cancer, after having breast cancer last year! Getting my pet results tomorrow I'm absolutely terrified in what they'll find and where it's going to be ! I think once I know I'll be a lot better it's just the unknown, I'm looking forward to chatting with me and feel like I have a new family x

  • Hello!  Pleased to meet you too.

This Macmillan site, it's a bit unintuitive Grimacing This is the blog section which people generally use  as a personal diary.  For chatting, and meeting new people with similar experiences, try a BC group.  There's breast groups too.  Welcome - I hope you find lots of help, support and friends on here.  It's been a good support for me - I've been a member for 4 years now.

  • Hi  and welcome to the Macmillan community.

It’s definitely a very difficult time waiting for scan results, and I know it’s scary when our minds can imagine all sorts. I hope that things will become easier once you know the results and a treatment plan. I’ve had a recurrence of my own cancer, though a different cancer to you, so I can understand how you might be be feeling right now waiting for more information.

It may help you get some more replies if you join and post in groups relating to your particular cancer, as well as here in the blog section as the groups tend to be busier and more active. Not everyone will come and read blogs, but it’s a good place to write down your feelings and document whatever you’d like to say about how things are for you.

We have a very active breast cancer group, and also a group for those who have experienced breast cancer spread to the bones and I’ll give you a couple of links here

    Breast Cancer Support Group

    Secondary Breast Cancer Support Group

When you click on the links you can join these groups and then put up a post to introduce yourself to chat to others in the same situation. I hope you’ll find this helpful and supportive for you. It can take a little time to get to grips with how the community works, but if you need any help with anything please do ask, and please keep in touch to let us know how you get on with your results.
