So I got to come home on day 1 post op, which was really good. It was rough but I was glad to be back with my family and in my own bed..
Day 2 is tough, didnt sleep very well, my legs are swelling and my tummy is swollen as well. I will be honest it is one of the toughest things I have ever done and I have a long road ahead of me. The doctors already think I have an urine infection but have to wait another day to find out.
My partner has been amazing, waking up in the night to give me my meds and to help me to toilet. But I feel useless at home more like a burden to him, I want to help but I know I can’t do anything and I have to let him do it.
