Less than one minute read time.
My dad has recently been diagnosed with bile duct cancer he has been told it has not spread and it looks operatable but research shows it is a quick killing cancer is there any inspirational thoughts out there or any feel good stories of survival :(

Im sorry to hear your news. *hug*

I just lost my mom to the same cancer almost a week ago. But her cancer had been so sneaky and she didnt have any symptoms until the cancer had spread basicly everywhere in her body.

Yesterday my dad had talked with someone, whose wife had a bile duct cancer as well, and it was operable so they operated it, and now after 7 years she is still in remission. So there is one survival story at least, eventho cancer seems to be leathal in most of the cases.

I think this cancer (and few other cancers) have a bad reputation bc normally, in most of the cases, these cancer dont give any symptoms before they spread. And after they have spread, they arent operable anymore. After that you can only try chemotherapy to prolong the life. So what im saying, dont lose your hope until you get more information.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you and your family, that they can operate the cancer and he will stay in remission. Operation is the only way to cure it.

Stay strong and positive. Lots of love to your family.

    Hugs,

    Summer.
