Funeral Tomorrow :(

Less than one minute read time.

Monday is the day of Tony's Funeral.  I am feeling a bit weird because I am strangely looking forward to it.  There have been so many lovely gestures - peole writing and reading tributes, a friend playing bagpipes,  army collegues in uniform and playing the trumpet, many many guests attending and a horse drawn hearse.  I feel it will be a very special day and one he would have been extremely proud of.   I am still feeling remarkably calm.  I guess I will find out tomorrow if I can cope?

I miss you darling with all my heart x x x x

    Hi Happyhorse,

Wow ! where to start ?  OK I do hope Monday goes well and reflects the bravery of You, Tony and your Family - sometimes bravery is not enough - we also need that bit of luck.

Think you blog will help and inspire so many on here, thank you for sharing your journey and Tony's  brave struggle. There is no shame in being scared - we all are at times and to different degrees - the brave part is confronting our fears and facing them, even if we cannot beat them in the end.

I still believe its better to fight and loose than to give up the fight ! What a strong and brave family group your portray, I hope you find the strength to go on - just please remember the site is here to support all who need it and when you feel ready please come back and tell us how life is treating you now

With all the deepest condolence for Monday and real  hopes for the future -please take care

    Love and hugs

    John xx

So sorry to hear your sad news, Your heart is broken but you are being so brave. You have been a great wife and mother supporting your family. I think the funeral will make you proud of the wonderful man you married. it is a comfort to know how many people respected your husband. I had a sense of peace after Eds funeral that I never expected even though the pain of losing him is very real. Our husbands were fantastic , brave men who will never be forgotten. I will be thinking of you today, take care of yourself and that wonderful family, love leisha xxxxxx ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((h))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I think you can enjoy a funeral!  It sounds a strange thing to say.  But I can remember that feeling at my parents' funerals - so much warmth and camaraderie, and a commemoration that was uplifting!
