Ok, so I get a call this morning from my 19 year old daughter, Montana, who is in college back east. She calls to tell me she has really GREAT NEWS! I'm so excited, "What? Tell me?" She informs me she has a new puppy. "WHAT! Montana, seriously, you can't have a puppy, you're in school, you'll be working this summer!" By this time she is laughing and telling me how it needed an home and she has named it Fluffy and…

I made my trip back East for my children's spring break from college. My daughter picked me up from the airport at 10:30 pm last Saturday and it turned out that her friends and mine bailed at the last minute and it was just the two of us. Dave is currently on a work related conference call and then we will head to the airport. He (and I) caught a nasty coughing/hacking/cold! So it is quite uncomfortable for him as he is so fatigued already. But I'm anxious to get home and in our own bed and surroundings. I was not "emotionally" prepared…
  • Short trip, not so short, but all is well (Habubrat)

Well, we kind of got a bum steer from the doc here that this would be a "short trip". It will be a "shorter trip", but Dave got a full round of 4 days of chemo and felt crappy the day before we were supposed to leave and he just didn't feel up to it. Coupled with the fact that we would need daily labs, growth factor shots, perhaps platelets, potassium, transfusions and so on when we got home. I was working hard on…
