Back East (Habubrat)

1 minute read time.
I made my trip back East for my children's spring break from college. My daughter picked me up from the airport at 10:30 pm last Saturday and it turned out that her friends and mine bailed at the last minute and it was just the two of us. We both had a marvelous time just relaxing and talking and catching up on all the wonderful things going on in her life. It was really great. A little shopping, lunch, and my homemade cooking at her request. Then I traveled back to where I used to live and stayed with my friend and we have been running around. I have managed to visit a few friends, though not as many as I would have liked. I'm still trying to connect up with my son who went to Florida for break, but should get to see him tonight and then I fly back tomorrow evening. It has been rejuvenating and tiring. Dave has managed pretty well without me. It was tough to leave him as he was quite frail. But he had plenty to eat and work to do. My neighbors were all looking out for him so I could go. They were all very supportive and telling me I needed to go, have a break and see my kids. All true. When I get back we will start Dave in physical therapy to help him get some of his strength back so after the 2nd transplant he will be able to 1) get through it better and 2) get his health fully recovered. Hope all is well with you. Best, Lori
