Problems?

Less than one minute read time.

Well, I went to the oncologist on Thursday to check all was ok for treatment on Monday.  My count had gone down a lot, so he was well pleased. After discussions about my breathlessness, and the way I was feeling he seemed a bit more concerened, and when I told him my GP had suggested a chest x-ray he told me to have it done.  My CT scan request from last month seemed to have got lost in the ether (I know it had been requested for after this treatment, but the scan department say they have nothing requested!) so the onc says he will rush it throught to check my chest/lungs area.  But I could book my next 3 treatments as my count was looking so good.  All booked as we left.

Went  for the x-ray on Friday, and the comment from the radiographer was see your doctor in a week to find out what to do next!  Doesn't that sound like there is something on it?  I hope the CT scan comes through quickly as my breathing seems worse by the day, and it is as much as I can do to go upstairs sometimes.

Fingers crossed please.

I will have my fingers and everything else crossed for a positive outcome from your scan and x-ray.

I hope all goes well for you.

    Best wishes, Christine xx

Mmmmm because I have had so many scans, (twenty some in the last 2years....) I sort of know the way it works, they have to have it looked at by the radiologist first then, the doc, they won't have your history and only your oncologist does the comparison, so for example if they see something, they wouldn't know if it was there before or what size, I know for a fact that it's on the computer system by the end of the day, but it then depends how

long it takes your doc to look at it, and what they told you is a pretty standard thing to say..... So don't stress,

Good luck I hope it's all good

I was breathless because the red cells were low and had a blood transfusion last week.  Made a big difference and now I can go upstairs without getting out of breath.  hope its something as simple as that. Good luck

so do I.  Onc did say they weren't too bad though, not low enough for a transfusion.......
