Gorlin Syndrome Group Blog

Less than one minute read time.

Well, here we are!  18th April 2010 and sometime now since we has a forum or blog.  I'm so pleased that we are back up and running and hope that all users find this area of real benefit.   I look forward to hearing from patient, carers and their family members, as well as any healthcare professionals who may have comments or questions about the condition.   If not, it would be great to hear from you anyway.

19th April and a busy day on the Gorlin front.  Met with a Specialist Skin Cancer Nurse working in East Lancashire who wanted to know more about Gorlin Syndrome, the impact on patients and families and more detailed information about the work of the group.

Newly purchased laptop arrived early morning (thanks to a donation in the form of a grant from the British Association of Dermatologists - for which we are extremely grateful).  Now up and running after set up.  This equipment will be of great assistance when delivering presentations to various medical groups and at conferences.

Busy time too on the telephone helpline today, with contact from one existing GS patient and two newly diagnosed patients.   It was pleasing to be able to offer advice and information and signpost each of them.
