I'm just looking back through my calendar, and I only just realised that my Dad first went to hospital 'Friday the 13th' of September 2013. You'd think I'd have noticed that at the time?
For about 4 hours he was suspected stroke and by tea time he was brain tumour. A week later it was 'most likely a nastier type of' brain tumour and less than two weeks after that, post debulking, it was GBM4 or Glioblastoma Multiforme for its pretty name. Kind of makes it sound like an exotic flower to my ears.
I subscribe to the boards here but haven't had the guts to post on anything. I feel so very helpless that I haven't quite felt able to help anyone else yet. I guess I'll get over myself soon though!
My reason for posting in here is that I want to keep a record of what has happened when, write what has happened so far while I still remember, because I hope that in finding some similarities with our story, someone else may be able to relate.
More to follow when I'm not in work!
