NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!

Less than one minute read time.

CANCER first came in to my life when i was only 8 and half years of age. My mum was told she had breast cancer. At the time i didnt really understand what that meant. All i knew was my mum was ill and needed an operation to fix it. she got rid of breast cancer when i was about 10 years old. About six months later we were told that she had secondary cancer and it was in her spine. the doctors gave her six months to live well my mum was a determined lady and lived for 6 more years. she sadly past away on 18 feb 2004.

in 2009 i found out that my nan had breast cancer and she was dying from it. later that year she sady past away.

On the first of may this year we found out that my stepson has got a difffuse brain stem giloma and  they can not operate on it. he is having radiotherphy and chemotherphy to see if it can shrink it. today is day 19 out of 30 of his radiotheraphy. will write more when i no more.

    Hi Ginger,

I'm so sorry to read everything you've been through. My mum also had breast cancer when I was very young & my sister has battled it twice. It seems that cancer has always been part of my life, which I'm guessing is how you feel too.

I hope your stepson is coping ok with the radiotherapy & I hope with with all my heart that you get the good news that it has shrunk. You will get lots of support here, this site is full of wonderful, caring people, so do keep posting.

Sending you lots of love & strength..

    xx

No my love, it isn't fair!

My Dad passed away with cancer and now my beloved partner John has the same type, even though they're not related!  I couldn't believe it was happening all over again so I know exactly how you feel.

We are all here for you whenever you need us.  There is always someone to offer encouragement and support on this site.

Sending you lots of cyber *hugs*.

Cancer is not sexist, ageist or racist.....its downright indescriminate and sometimes it visits a family more than once, sometimes it visits the same person more than once in more than one form.

    It isn't fair at all.

I hope your stepson is doing ok with the RT, I had 33 sessions to the brain last year too.

    Love & Strength

    Debs xx
