Didn't think I'd need to use a site like this again !!
I had a kidney removed about 8 yrs ago lucky completely contained I found out I had it one day ! and 2 wks later it was gone ...
A couple of wks ago went for an ultrasound scan and they thought they would check my one and only !!! kidney .Boy did I have a shock when they informed me I had what looks like a small mass.....been today for a cat scan and now the waiting .I am fighting at the moment to keep the fear under control !!...

Although I'm sure we all would wish not to see you here again! I can appreciate your worries and waiting is one of the worst parts of these journeys as you probably remember from before.
Stay strong, you came through this once and no reason why you shouldn't again. They have found it and will treat you.
I have only been here about a week but the support I have received has been fantastic. I hope you will find that same support of great help.
So sorry to hear about the "mass" - let's hope that it turns out to be less sinister than your fears suggest. It must be terribly stressful for you after suffering a nephrectomy already. Been on a rollercoaster past few months !! turned out to have 2 small tomours in my one remaining kidney ...that was bad enough surgeon was quite confident he could remove them and leave the kidney intact ....
Then everything went on hold because they also found I had to enlarged lympth nodes in the chest !!!
On the 31st of October o8 had a very painful operation to have the 2 lymph nodes and whatever else looked dodgy removed .Like I said very painful but glad to see the back !!
Referred to an oncologist after a further sacn .He made me feel much better about things although he knew nothing of my op !!! said I still had a swelling in the chest but might be scar tissue .We agreed to leave it six wks and see what happened .
In the mean time I wanted to see my surgeon to see if it was possible to still remove the kidney tumours only to be told I had 2 more in the chest .My husband and I were on our knee's as these must have appeared in a matter of weeks .
Got home from hospital 2 hours later had a phone call to say that the 2 tumours they they could see in my chest ......wait for it ......were the 2 original tumours .They had not been removed !!!!..............complete nightmare .............
