who can blame you feeling this way and I don't think that any advice is going to help much. However, I can tell you that chemo can really do some wonders, so don't give up hope. And don't worry about how you deal with it, just let go and feel how you feel. great one day, shit the next. Its your life and just love that child of yours all you can. My prayers are with you. BTW. i'm from the 'gong in NSW.

Just remember that you are NOT alone in the MRI machine - all of our thoughts and hopes and love go in there with you.  I always find MRI scanners like being strapped onto a mountain rescue stretcher!  Sendning hugs xxxxx Penny

    Hi Freckles,

It's horrible feeling anxious and afraid. I've found the Bach's flower remedies very helpful. (Health shop or good pharmacist.) For fear and anxiety you could try Cherry Plum, Mimulus, Rock Rose. Any of those or a combination of all three. Rescue Remedy is a good stand-by as well. You just put a couple of drops in a glass of water and sip it throughout the day. You can't overdose! Worth a try. I used this to great effect when I had some major dental work looming. I'm more afraid of the dentist than I am of the cancer I think. Anyway, it worked for me.

Good luck and know that you're not alone.

    Best wishes, Shelagh

I think everyone gets anxious when they have to go for chemo. I know I was as I don't like needles and don't like being sick. However, the chemo nurses are wonderful they take the time to reassure you, at my hospital they even have a complementary therapist who can give you massages to calm you if you are feeling particularly nervous. As part of the chemo anti-nausea medicine is given and you also have some to take home, so the sicknes needn't be  a problem. I have just had my second chemo out of a probable eight and found the first one not to bad, although everyone says it does get worse as you have more. I think the best thing is to let your body tell you what to do, if it says sleep then sleep, if it says go out then out you go. i also have found that for a couple of days I don't feel like eating much so I have  chose to nibble on those days Hope all goes well with you, and remember there are always people here to talk to.

    Take care Jazzcatxx
