Happy to be home

1 minute read time.
Hi all and thanks to everyone who sent messages asking where i been. Have spent the last 11 days in hospital with severe reaction to my chemotherapy- had to return from holiday after a day (which was spent in the loo only) and go to hospital where i was admitted immediately as i was severly dehydrated due to the severe diarhea i had - spent 5 days just passing blood then began to be all colours yukky ( had my own fireworks from my bum which just kept exploding) finally the docs were able to get some treatment into me that started to work. I was then discovered to be neutropenic so was then unable to have certain foods once i could start eating again. I can only praise the wonderful staff of the ward i was on from the cleaners to docs as they were all so kind and nothing too much trouble. Well did have some fun moments while in though as spent the first few days on mens ward until bed available in ladies for me - so got nicknamed a hussy once i arrived in with the lovely womens ward. Also once i got better and was sneaking out for a smoke met up with some of the other men from next ward who were doing the same - we all kept to the same times to meet up. Just now happy to be home even if it is on probation as long as i keep taking my temperature etc and any rise i have to return immediately. Sister cooking me a lovely sunday roast beef today as the food was the only bad thing in the hospital.

Hi Rose - and so glad to hear you're back home.  Sorry to learn that you had an 11 day stay in hospital, although the fireworks display of colours from your bum must have put some colour on the situation, lol  Then to be christened a "hussy"!  And after all you'd been through hardly seems fair, lol THEN you let the side down Rose by making assignations to have a sneaky smoke, lol.  How could you? So glad that you are once again happily installed at home, we all feel better once we're back at home don't we? I hope you enjoy your sister's lovely roast beef - aren't you lucky to have her? Enjoy being back at home Rose, and take good care of yourself,   with love             kate xxxxxxxxxxxxx
