two boys their dad has them every other weekend thats if he not too busy

tonight phones my eldest14 year old i tried to listen into hear my son say no im settled here, turns out his dad asked ryan if he wants to live with him! inside im shouting No way! over my dead body!! i feel sick but keep my cool tell my son that he has to be honest and if any problems he has to tell me and i asked does he want to live with his dad he says no. But i still feel panicked my boys have a great life with me i have never let them down. ahhhhh!! how dare he even say anything to my son!!

Oh dear. This is not right or fair on you. I know exactly how you feel. My ex has my kids every other weekend too. Your ex really should have talked to you first before discussing a 'topic' of this magnitude with your boys. He's taking the control away from you by doing this and it's important for you to retain it. I don't mean to sound negative and people may criticise me for being blunt, but it's just that I fully emphathise with you and know exactly how you are feeling. I get into a very 'protective' stance when I hear things like this (due to my own divorce experience I suppose)...

Just try to stay strong (I know, it's not like you haven't already got enough to deal with) but I'm sure you'll find more strength - we usually do when it comes to our kids. The best thing to do is try to think as far ahead as possible and pre-empt any further 'discussions' arising in your absence. PM me if you want to chat further...
