Next Phase.... any tips?

1 minute read time.
Hi, I've been online for a while now and responded to many others' blogs.... but this is my first one. On 15 September I have a great day ahead.... a real line in the sand for me.... and as I once thought I may not have got this far.... I feel so happy to be at this point. I am due to have my tissue expander (put in at the time of my mastectomy 2 years ago) removed AND my port a cath removed too. At the same time , I will have an implant put in the 'other' side..... not as a feebie boob-job, but because I am so small that they don't make implants my size and shape, so I will go from AA to a B cup! I am wondering what this is like.... what experience of it do you have and have you any tips for a speedy recovery? How long was your recovery time.... how soon did you drive ( I have lots of school runs)? Although I am looking forward to having this done, it is more because of what it represents to me in terms of my progress rather than a yen to return to hospitals, theatre and post op pain!! I hope this isn't too disjointed, my 8 and 6 year olds are in the bed with me as I type! Thanks, EJ

Although I do not have the same problems as you I was really glad to read your blog and 'feel' how pleased you were!  This must be such a psychological boost for you and I wish you all the best with the op.

    Take care
