12) Pre Paclitaxel check

I was told the same thing by the Macmillan nurse: if I tolerated 3 cycles of EC, chances are I would tolerate Docetaxel just as well. I had my second dose of Doc with Phesgo yesterday, I start on 7 days of Filgrastim tonight. I've felt 100% since having the infusion and injection yesterday morning. Just some ongoing taste issues...

I've had a PICC line from the start and it's worked really well for me. It's a bit of a bind having to go and get it flushed and re-dressed every week, but it's a good opportunity to catch up with the staff and report any issues. I hate cannulas so I was more than happy to be offered the PICC line.

I was quite fatigued with EC, but it wasn't as bad after the first Doc. I was cleaning the kitchen at 11pm yesterday and am tackling more housework now!

Dr Google, yeah... just need to be selective about the source and remember that no two people are alike. Like you, I like to know everything. I feel more in control that way and can prepare mentally about possible side effects.

Thanks Amy, glad your Docetaxel going well - I must look up the difference between Docetaxel & Paclitaxel as am curious but experience has shown me that I should give google a rest for now ;)

I prob should have had this picc line at the beginning but I thought it would be easier just to have the cannula rather than this thing flapping around which I thought would be a real pain as it can’t get wet etc   

had my first round of Pac yesterday - it was a breeze with the picc line - am sorry I didn’t do this from the beginning but you live & learn…
