My first Pac couldn’t happen as my veins completely downed tools and went on strike! Chemo unit staff were great and got my picc line appt rearranged to the following morning which meant my chemo was delayed by only one day. I am desperate to stick to the original 2 weekly cycles to get this done on schedule if at all possible!!
I was really nervous about the PIcc line insertion but it was fine - I didn’t feel any discomfort at all just a mild mini sting from local anaesthetic (really mild though).
Picc Insertion went to plan so went to chemo unit for 1st Pac. I was really nervous about this after my EC - I knew where I was with EC & was terrified of a bad reaction/side effects with pac.
It was fine the only down side is that it is a lot longer - 3 hours!! I thought I would distract my brain with the Harry & Megan Netflix show ( so much hype around this so thought it would provide a distraction if nothing else!) It was actually quite boring although I thought she came across well & not like the villain of the piece! In any event I only watched a bit of it so it may have spiced up after I abandoned it.
I felt a lot better after Pac than I did immediately after the ECs not quite as “out of it” Let’s see how I go over the next few days :)
