18) 5 days post 3rd Paclitaxel

Less than one minute read time.

This round of Paclitaxel seems easier so far than the previous two (which apart from being light head, having sore fingers & weird feeling in toes were not too bad)

I am pleasantly surprised as I understood it would get more intense the further into treatment you go.  I’m not complaining though & taking each day that I feel ok as a bonus.
It’s not completely plain sailing though as I do feel tired.  I also had quite intense bone aches last night & took 2 co-codemol to ease this.  Thankfully was able to sleep & seem ok today so far.
The peripheral neuropathy I had after the first cycle seems to have resolved itself (the dose was lowered after I reported this)
So far eyebrows are hanging in there & I still have most of my eyelashes - hope these manage to survive! My nails are doing well - I’ve been using nail oil & painted them black in the hope of staving off any problems.
Gearing up for my last cycle next week - hopefully my bloods will be ok and this can go ahead as planned.

  • I hope and pray that your treatment will be successful. You sound very positive, well done. Spring is round the corner and the bulbs in the garden are popping through which always cheers me up no end.

  • Hi, so pleased Pac is getting easier for you with each cycle. Good luck for the final one next week. I'm having my final Docetaxel next week, too, but also a reduced dose as I've hardly eaten since the last one (everything tastes disgusting!) and I've lost weight. My nails appear to be surviving too, so maybe the black nail varnish works! xx
