Hi, I'm a cancer patient so I know how terrifying it is to get such a diagnosis . I think as time passes you may surprise yourself about how  you cope with the situation.  That you have found your way to this site is a step in the right direction as it is full of people (both patients and carers) who will give you help and support so you don't have to feel alone. I wish you courage and strength, Jay

    Hi

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer with spread to lymph nodes June 2009. I've had surgery and 6 months chemotherapy and have been told that I'm now considered cured. So there is hope! It is hard being told you have cancer. I couldn't take it in and felt like I was talking about someone else, sadly I wasn't. You've done the right thing by joining Macland. It has been my lifeline from when I was diagnosed, such lovely and supportive people who I now call my friends. We are all here for you, so feel free to ask questions or have a rant whenever you need to.
