Dry mouth

Less than one minute read time.
Has anyone experienced a dry mouth - I am constantly drinking water because there is no saliva. I have asked my GP and the chemo nurses but no one seems to Be sure. I am about to have radiotherapy to my mx area and neck so hopefully the cancer has not moved to the saliva glands ( this is me panicking) xx

Hi Sunny I have forgotten how to use this site properly so hopefully you have received a reply to this post about dry mouth. Firstly I must warn you radiotherapy may exacerbate the dry mouth problem. There are lotions your GP and Consultant can prescribe for the problem. My husband had mouth cancer and suffered a great deal of distress until a friend recommended biotene, a moisturising mouth wash. Hope this helps and the cancer did not effect your saliva glands. Please let me know how you are. Sonny
