Friday and my next plan of the cunning variety was to get Jonathan to wheel me down to the club and surprise Irene and the witches but then Eric comes round and says it is very cold so I postpone my trip ambitious though it may be.
The nurse comes to dress my Gladyii – only two left and they are saying how well everything is going. While she is there Irene is singing and baking and I tell the nurse that she is at her most dangerous when she is singing – it means she has been spending money!
Thankfully all of the w*ne gums have gone. I did try to trick Irene into having the last one but she was too wily for that. So now I move on to the Sport’s Mixture (tee hee!)
Another afternoon swearing at the laptop as I watch my beloved Seagulls bite the dust again. They will win again – one day!
The big magnet that they installed at club to pull people in is working too well and I can almost taste the red wine. I have basically got three options. Taxi, walk or wheelchair. The only logical one is wheelchair and I get dressed and wrapped up and start to walk while Jonathan pushes the chair. The wind is howling and the snow is swirling full on in my face. I get in the wheelchair. Have I made a terrible mistake? We decide that if the snow is still full on when we turn the corner we will go back…… Now Iknow how Shackleton felt!
