Life after radio

Less than one minute read time.

just been through 8 months of treatment for second boob. Boob one got all this 20 years ago and I guess I am lucky to still have two boobs. I have been lucky to have so much support and help especially when going through the surgery and chemo but perception is that radiotherapy is easier. Maybe but I completed four weeks of radiotherapy on 1st May and I feel totally knackered. probably more tired than having the chemo. Is this the effects of the radio alone or is it just the cumulative effect of months of treatment? Sunburnt boob that no one sees and my hair is growing back so I must be ok. Still needing sofa days and TLC.

    Hi Elizabeth,

Welcome to the club no on wanted to be in.

There is a very active Breast Cancer Group here if you fancy hopping over the fence and saying Hi! Just click the link. It's a lot easier to chat in the groups than by using blog posts :-)

It is definitely the cumulative effects the daily travelling for your Rads on top of still having the chemo side effects lurking in the background. Keep up with the cream, rads continue working / cooking for 2-3 weeks after your last session.

Take plenty of R&R and lots of TLC, George & Jackie
