Update

Less than one minute read time.

I am now 38 years old now and it is 2 years since i had my operation so only another 3 years to go before I get what they call the all clear.

I have had a bad week last week when i found out my friend's cancer had come back and this scared me and shook my already low esteem and self confidence.

But on a good note managed to do my tandem parachute jump today a complete adrenalin rush and feel better for it and got the dvd and photos to prove it!!  x

Hi Doona, congrats. on the para jump - you go girl!  I hate heights.  Anyway, as Sarsfield mentioned to you re his remission.  Imagine yourself in 5 yrs time and where  you will be - how will you feel if your last 5 yrs had been spent driving yourself crazy with uncertainty?  Think about what you had achieved those last 5 yrs.  Go back to today and start doing a list of great things to do for yourself now!  The para jump is No.1.  Easier said than done I know as I get worried too.  Hooray for prozac!  Doona, you are now a warrior now and warriors have scars and sometimes those scars play up, but warriors keep going.  Your strength really is within yourself and you will find it.  Good luck and I hope to hear from you with your list of good things you want to achieve in your life when the black dog is in the corner and not overwhelming you.  God bless. Ann
