Lots of things going on

1 minute read time.

So much has happened since my last post, can't believe what can happen in 24 hours.

First the sad news that my father-in-law passed away last night.  Not unexpected, he was moved onto palliative care last week, but still very upsetting when it happens.  I really feel for H at the moment, he has so much to worry about already with my health and his own.

H had a phone consultation with the hospital urology department this morning.  He has been booked in for an MRI scan on Monday morning.  They said once the scan results are ready then he'll get an appointment to see a consultant at the hospital.  We have our fingers crossed that all will be well.  We've heard from a few friends now who have had similar experiences and it turned out OK.  One of H's friends is in the middle of the same investigation at the moment, so at least he has someone to chat to and compare notes with.  I have tried encouraging H to join the Macmillan online community, but unfortunately he says he's not a forum person.

I got a call yesterday evening from my CNS to say I was discussed at the Lincoln MDT meeting yesterday, and they will be talking about me more at the Birmingham MDT meeting on Tuesday.  The plan is to get me to Birmingham some time next week to see the sarcoma Consultant there.  It has also been decided that I need a feeding tube inserted as soon as possible, probably the following week.

I've just got back from my CT scan, this is the 3rd one now.  This one was for the lower part of my body.  Hopefully just a precaution that there is no problem elsewhere.

I'm hoping we can now get a quiet weekend.  There has been so much happening over the last few days, it's a lot to process.
