Alarm went off at 5.30am this morning. We had to leave home by 7am to get to the hospital for 9am. Saw 2 senior consultants who both felt that the swelling on my gums is probably a cancerous tumour. So I didn't get the teeth extracted as planned, just some punch biopsies instead.
They said I was incredibly good during the biopsies, but I didn't feel a thing, so it was pretty easy. It took around 20 minutes and I did a visualisation meditation that my holistic healer wrote for me. It's called a walk through the enchanted forest to the magic castle. It was great, took my mind off things completely.
So now it's a 2 week wait for the biopsy results. In the meanwhile I'll be getting appointments for a couple more scans. I've now got the dreaded 2WW code on my paperwork.
The wait goes on.
