I had my appointment with the consultant last week. She carried out a full check up using the ultrasound and everything seemed fine so far.
Lots of dates to enter into my diary:
Mid January - return to work.
February - bone scan and check up with oncologist.
May - mammogram and ultrasound 1 year post diagnosis.
I am looking forward to returning to work in the new year. Emotionally, I feel more in control than I did a few weeks ago. I realise there is no point even worrying about the medical appointments (well at least not until nearer the time). Physically I also feel improvement and I have continued with light excercise every day. Of course, I am still anxious and have many moments when the fear sets in again but I know I can't foresee into the future. I feel positive as I feel I have regained a degree of control back in my like and I feel a little stronger both physically and emotionally. I cannot ever predict what the future mammograms will show but I can certainly put my effort into keeping myself healthy and doing whatever I can to try and reduce risks.
