It's Chemo Thursday again - 5 down, 7 to go.
Coming out of the tube station, I start going up the flight of steps leading to the outside. Half way up, I feel myself trip and as if in slow motion, I fall forwards and onto my knees but I managed to put my hand out which luckily stopped me from falling flat on my face! Not too bad, just grazed knees and hands. So I arrive at the clinic all shaken. Good news is that they accessed the port to take my bloods and they said it was working fine and not dislodged. They also asked if I was experiencing numbness /pins and needles in my feet/hands, a side effect which can become serious. This could be the reason why I keep falling over as I can't feel my feet? It's not noticeably numbness but will keep an eye out...probably because I am feeling very tired most of the time and I feel double my age at the moment. For someone who is normally used to walking around in 3-4inch heels and now spends most of the time walking around in very flat/non slip shoes and bare feet indoors, I certainly shouldn't be taking two tumbles in the space of a week! Maybe that's the solution, wear heels again and get more steroids to bring my energy back up!
