Best wishes to all

1 minute read time.

I have to say I haven`t been able to chat as I have had a lot going on since 2 weeks before Xmas.

I had my elderly Mum stay and she`s been quite poorly and needed a lot of looking after.

She developed an infection in her gallbladder and has gall stones.

The infection worsened her arthritis so its been a bit difficult.

Then I became very depressed and had to have medication to help.

I finally get my surgery next Thursday the 28th. A few days later and it will be 4 months since the first surgery was done and it was misdiagnosed.

After the hectic xmas and family, mum and kids coming to see me I was then thankful for some breathing space when everyone went home. But then its just yourself do deal with the worry and loneliness.

I have been trying to stay positive, I have now joined a slimming club and am searching for a part-time job to give me some focus and get me out to have a purpose. I know kids can be hard work but I really would rather have had them around than be alone like this.

Millie my little dog has been a great comfort. Only a few more days now till its out. Then I will get a result.

Love to everyone.

Best wishes,

Di. x

    Dear Di

I've just read your biog and I's so sorry you've had such a tough time. I hope your surgery goes well, and that you can recover from your depression. I found that exercise and fresh air helped me when I was suffering a few years ago, but I didn't have a dog to keep me company so it was quite lonely! Remember that you're not alone - there are lots of great people on this site to give you support and advice. Take care, and try to stay positive. XX

Hi Diane, just read your blog, sorry you've been feeling so down, and worried etc.

Just wanted to say that I have a little cavalier spaniel too, a tri-colour bitch, who we all adore, she is so gentle and loving.

Hope you get to the bottom of what's happening with you, and good luck for the future, Jeanie xx

    Hi Di,

Sorry to hear you are having such a stressful time. Good luck with your surgery next week and I'm sure you will feel more in control of your life & health once you are back home & you can get on with your slimming club etc. Give your dog lots of love, I miss my two that died a few years ago - they were such good company & don't answer back!

I will be thinking of you on Thursday,

    Love Angie x
