Well my Dad was 64 and I am 27 and I still took it hard knowing my Dad was very ill but I think you should tell them as they will want to spend as much time with you and him and you do need the support. My mum was so tired from caring every day and night that when I was there she could then do things like have a bath and sleep.. He died in Feb at home. Please dont leave it too long as this will be a massive shock if anything did happen which I am hoping for your sake nothing will I will be praying for you and your family and remember to look after yourself too. xxx

I am so sorry to hear of your husband's diagnosis. I have stage 4 bowel cancer too. Please come over to the bowel cancer group and join the triplets thread. This was started by Anne whose husband has stage 4 bowel cancer too and they have 14 yr old triplets. You will find support on this site but maybe there you will find someone who really knows how it feels..

    Love from Jen XX
