I spoke to Chris last week on the phone and as good as it was to finally hear her voice, it was sad to hear that Tom was getting near the end of his battle with a GBM brain tumour.
Just after I got up this morning, I got the text.....Tom died peacefully at 12.10am this morning.
We had always said we would meet for cake & Coffee as Tom and I were being treated at the same hospital but it never happened. Perhaps sometime in the future, Chris and I will meet and she promised to show me pictures of Tom and their family.
My love and strength to Chris, their children and extended family at this difficult time.
PEACE BE THE JOURNEY TOM
No thought for today, just this poem:
If I should go tomorrow,
It would never be goodbye,
For I have left my heart with you,
So don't you ever cry.
The love that's deep within me,
Shall reach you from the stars,
You'll feel it from the heavens,
And it will heal the scars.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
