Debs Daily Deliberations 95

2 minute read time.
Evening All Well I am back to my bouncing self and go into chat to catch up and have a good old natter but unfortunately the mood was way too sour for me. Shame........... Today has been a good day, I am feeling less "tetchy" although with mother nature due to call the hormones are probably telling the rest of the family something completely different!!!! You know its bad when all 3 kids walk everywhere together in the house cos theres safety in numbers ;) Doctors called to tell me I had rearrange my blood test.....am now going at 7.30am on Lara's 11th Birthday......she said that as my platelet count was so low and I had "rubbish veins" they would probably use the Butterfly - now this sounds kinda exotic and painless you know .......like being kissed by a butterfly. But Jungle pointed out in chat its just the type of needle, so now I am thinking I am not as special as I know I was born to be LOL Hubby came home early as they had been having power cuts all day at work and couldn't get any printing done. Came in handy as we were due to go and meet Lara's form tutor in secondary school. Of course, I had forgotten that there were countless forms to fill in so we turned up empty handed - BLAME IT ON BUTTERCUP!!!!! Bought her school blazer, she looks so grown up all of a sudden! Cooked some pasta for the boys as they were going off for a 2 hour advanced kata lesson tonight and for myself I stir-fried courgettes, garlic, asparagus, broccoli, mushrooms and baby sweetbite peppers and then popped them into an dish with mozzarella pearls and cubed feta cheese and under the grill.........now considering there was no meat in this dish, it was bloody gorgeous!! just had a hankering for veggies today.....just not looking forward to the "asparagus affect" later. Ollie put himself well and truly into my bad books today. My dad grows beautiful irises (which are my favourite flowers) and last time he visited he brought a yellow one with him for me. Helped me plant it properly cos the last few I attempted died.........and it was budding and........yep you guessed it, Ollie dug it up and chewed off the leaves. I know it was only a plant, but it was my special plant. I was VERY CROSS. Its now safely planted in a large pot that he can't reach....the buds were still intact so hopefully not all is lost. Going to get my laundry in and have a nose around facebook before maybe trying the chatroom again.....I hope there is a definate mood shift in there now. Thought for the day: In poverty and other misfortunes of life, true friends are a sure refuge. Aristotle

The comment about the Iris brought back the sight that met me only earlier this morning!

I grow Sunflowers (God's smile) every year. My tallest one is now 6 foot and climbing! It is called Kong variety - should sprout multiple heads. I also thought I'd do some patio pot Sunflowers - Little Leo variety - multiple flower heads. Anyway - this morning one previously very healthy Leo specimen had keeled over and was snapped off! I found the little bugg... responsible on the side of the pot. Needless to say his shell is now snapped off!

Years ago - my son's pet rabbit was let out into the garden and chewed off all the runner beans stems at ground level. I came home to find them all dead! No beans that year!

    Keep smiling & God Bless!
