Debs Daily Deliberations - 33

3 minute read time.
Evening All, "happy birthday to youuuuuuuu" thats for my darling Tony who is 42 today. "lifestyles of the rich the famous"...........well thats how I have been living today, rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous (maybe). Didn't have a very good drive to the Grove, the M25 was just awful, the good weather seems to have an adverse affect on that motorway! Once arrived we pulled into the main entrance and passed an "official team" coach for some football club or another - if I was a guy I'd probably have noticed what one LOL.......passed all the reserved spots I did see a nice black convertible Ferrari spider......and into the main carpark......two spaces left, one next a regular BMW and one next to yet another black Ferrari Spider (not convertible tho, how dull LOL) so.......guess where we parked our 05 registered Ford C-Max!!!!!!! Yep nearly had heart failure with the kids opening the car doors and jumping out "dont touch it, dont even look at it, better still dont breathe near it". We amble into the Walled Gardens and meet our friends, the outside pool and beach area is already jumping, not a cloud in the skies. We set up on a tree lined lawn area and the kids do their demo and get some young kids involved. I kid you not, Lara was out of her gi (karate suit) and into her swimming suit in under 3 minutes flat I reckon! Once I had embarassed them all by lathering them in factor 30 waterproof sunscreen, they all took no time in getting into the water, the lifeguards had thrown inflatables etc and they had a great couple of hours!!!!!!! I have to say, I think there's going to be quite a few lobsters "ooooing and arghhhhhhing" tonight, as they basted out in the midday sun without protection tut tut Meanwhile, the adults (yes that includes me) sat in the conservatory and chatted until our food arrived. Think it was the only time we were all quiet - eating! After that, a beautiful handmade gooey personalised chocolate birthday cake arrived for Tony.......OMG heaven!!!!!!! We sat around drinking & chatting while the kids played pool and table tennis, next time I looked at my watch it was 5.20pm - whoaaaaaa where did the time go???? Thats the sign that a good time was being had by all when hours slip by without you noticing! Begrudgingly we headed back to our car.......oh at this point yet another black convertible Ferrari Spider was driving around looking for a space (now I realise these cars are common cos we didnt see another Ford Focus C-Max there, so who's was more exclusive eh!!!).......we pulled out and they parked it next to the 'unconvertible' version!!! As we drove out a very nice Lambourghini Gullado (spell???) was coming the opposite way - Sean was very excited at this?!! Now the highlight of my hubby's day, on the way back our little car overtook not one but two Lambourghini Countach's, Lambourghini Diablo, Ferrari Spider and a Tuscan or sommat, can't remember exactly but I am not into cars........Tony and the boys were gabbling and trying NOT to look at the cars as we passed but you know they did LOL I did say to the guys that these 'classic supercars' were not out racing.....but cruising to be LOOKED AT but Tony insisted his car was still faster on the day ;) Now.........what to do for dinner............takeaway I think, its just too perfect a day to spoil by having too cook. Hubby is now sat watching the Monaco Grand Prix.....having had a brilliant birthday. There are some days you just dont want to end.......and this is one of them. Thought for today: Dignity comes not from control, but from understanding who you are and taking your rightful place in the world.
