Debs Daily Deliberations - 31

Afternooners, Well after the hustle and bustle of yesteday, today is a bit of a come down! I woke up around 2am, nose was running and had real trouble getting back to sleep. Was NOT a happy bunny when the alarm went off at 7am to find I had a sore throat to add to the runny nose! Jack also looked awful, he had the metal rings put on his back teeth prior to the tooth extractions and fixed braces being applied, it had caused discomfort and he hadn't slept well all night, so I told him to stay in bed and gave him the day off - softie I know. I was at the dentists before 9am handing in the letter the orthodontist had prepared for us and arranging the dates for him to have his teeth out (the ortho's dont do extractions!!!!!) and then into Tesco's to grab some shopping and birthday cards as its Tony's birthday this Sunday. His master wants a Chicken Caesar Salad and I am doing Jack a macaroni cheese with wholegrain mustard, breadcrumb & parmesan topping as he can't chew anything!!!! The bedding is all washed and out on the line although the bloomin sun has disappeared now!!!!!!! Now, I know I seem to go out for coffee a lot, but at home I am not a coffee drinker at all..........but does anyone else get excited at opening a new jar of coffee??? Well I do, I am not sure if its that satisfying feeling of piercing the gold foil seal or the initial smell of coffee (it always smells better than it tastes to me, or maybe I just make a really bad cup of coffee LOL). I have to use a teaspoon to spear the foil seal and even with my runny nose managed to breathe in that freshly opened coffee smell....mmmmmmmmmmmmm, then I made myself a cuppa tea LOL I got my appointment letter today to see my oncologist for my first months supply of Temodar, reliant on my blood test results of course, which I have to have drawn a couple of days before. Its my dog Dexter's 8th birthday tomorrow and his treat - he is going to the groomers to be hand stripped, nails clipped and bum squeezed......what else could a guy want LOL I think Tony is a bit nervous as to what I might have lined up for him as its his birthday the following day ;) As it is, we are going back to the Grove for the day doing what he likes best - karate!
