Debs Daily Deliberations - 30

2 minute read time.
Evening all, Today I have been........mostly eating!!!! I have two sisters both younger and they are like buses (not the back end of one), just that I don't see them for a while and then they both wanna see me on the same day!!! So, 11am Diane turns up and wants me fitted out in the "Sunday best hair" and off we go to Ashlyns Organic Farm restaurant. We were hoping for a big ol' fry up (cos its healthy if its organic right LOL) but arriving at 11.35am we were told that breakfast finished at 11am and lunch starts midday, they are just serving drinks and cakes at the mo. We order a pot of tea and settle by the window watching the goats and chickens and pre-school kids obviously on an outing (not sure what was most amusing!) We yakked away, mostly moaning about our parents (mean we know but still, it has to do be done) and before we know it, its time to order lunch. We plumped for beef with beetroot relish, roast potato wedges with herb creme fraiche and salad with dressing - OMG it was delicious!!!!!!!!!!!! Finished off with a latte.....and it was now 10 minutes to two. We do a little shopping for organic produce and leave having had a great time, Diane has the breakfast and evening menu's to tempt her boyfriend into heading this way for a change.......she didn't want to leave. I get home and whip off the 'hair'......ooooooooooh that felt good. Just about had time to wash and blowdry the 40 odd hairs I have left on me bonce and dash to Tesco's to get the kids and Tony some fresh pasta (four cheese tortellini) with fresh pesto that even they can cook for themselves before karate tonight. My middle sis Sharon drops Jack off after his orthodontist appt - metal rings in place ready for teeth extraction and braces fitted - and I don a hat and head off to Costa Coffee, we pull off the drive and Tony pulls on (I yell out the window "there's fresh pasta in fridge for dinner"). Finally sink into an easy chair with a skinny latte to make up for the Orange and Lemon Muffin. We sit and also laugh about our parents and how we love them but gawd they drive us nuts too (guess we do the same to them LOL). Its now 5.45pm and Tony rings to say they are leaving for karate, Sharon agree's to drop me off there.........once I get there Sean and Lara inform me Dad DIDNT cook them any dinner, said he was sure Mum would sort it out after karate and that they were STARVINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I smile through gritted teeth and say OK Its gone 8pm and I am finally sat without hat or wig having cooked the pasta for everyone but me (cos I is still stuffed from being a lady wot brunches) and Sean brings forth his efforts from his domestic science class - choccy chip cookies. Now I have a real aversion to 'finger nail fluff' in me food and try to get out of eating their 'classwork' but one look at his little face and I searched for the smallest one and have gotten through it - not had to run to the toilet yet, so I think I am safe LOL I am totally exhausted......how do the 'country club' set manage to live like this everyday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thought for the day: “When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before.” Mae West

Glad you had a good day Debs.  It's good to meet with siblings and have a good moan oops.......   I mean laugh.   But hey,  you are getting plenty of wear of the Sunday best hair aren't you.   You'll be having to go clothes shopping soon if you keep on eating all those cakes and muffins.lol.

Glad you had a good day.  I visited a friend, spent too much money at the nursery, now I have to all those plants in the ground. I hade lunch too, fish and chips followed by rhubarb crumble and custard - yum yum.  So I sympathise with the stuffed feeling.

See not enough germs on that organic stuff :o)) Hope the runny nose and sore throat get better soon.  Have a good weekend.

    Carol xx

PS if you are ill, Tony will have to cook

I wanna recover though so I will cook..... (altho hubby does have city & guilds in catering).  Sore throat has abated (I was prolly snoring last night LOL) but the nose is still dripping - just thought that was an image I would share ;)
